Much anticipated triple talaq bill passed !

Finally the much anticipated triple talaq bill for muslim women has been passed in the rajya sabha on Tuesday, 30th July. The bill was to prevent instant divorce practice in the muslim community. The union law minister ravi shankar prasad said ” we have made a provision in which wife can file an FIR and husband could be given bail by the magistrate upon hearing the wife. Minutes after the rajya sabha approve instant triple talaq as a criminal offense PM Nareindra modi tweeted saying that an archaic and medeival practice has finally be confined to an end. He added that india rejoicing today.
